Madonna Wednesday-Rabbit Leopold

From Philadelphia to Montreal and Quebec City, Madonna Keeps Wowing Audiences with the MDNA Tour.  She has the best job in the world.  A True Blue Fighting Spirit-MADONNA!

Madonna Song of the Day-The Waltz from Evita-Lyric quote from Lady Ciccone/Peron/Simpson via Andrew Lloyd Webber, Tim Rice and Antonio Banderas-"Tell me before you get on to your bus/Before joining the Forgotten Brigade!/How can one person like me say/Alter the time-honored way the game is played?/Tell me before you get on to your high horse/Just what you expect me to do?/I don't care what the bourgeoisie say/I'm not in business for them but to give all my descamisados/A magical moment or two!/There is evil!/Ever around/Fundamental system of government quite incidental!/So what are my chances
of honest advances?/I'd say low/Better to win by admitting my sin/Than to lose with a halo/Allow me to help you to slink off to the sidelines/And mark your adieu with three cheers!/But first tell me who'd be delighted?/If I said I would take on the world's greatest problems/From war to pollution/No hope of solution!/Even if I lived for 100 years!...So go if you're able/To somewhere unstable!/And stay there!/Whip up your hate in some tottering state!/But not here dear!/Is that clear dear?/What if I'd give for a hundred years?/But the physical interferes/Every day More/Oh my Creator?/What is the good of the strongest heart?/In a body that's falling apart!/A serious flaw/I hope you know that!"-Clearly in the last years of Evita's life, the years weren't kind to her.  As for Madonna herself, Evita will always be her best performance on the silver screen-she delivers one of the saddest and dare I say it best singing of her Ciccone life and existence.  Madonna's music will live forever, no questions asked!

Madonna Sunday-Rabbit Leopold

On to the Americas.  MDNA-Europe was eventful for Madonna.  Here, she stepped up her role as activist. It's likely that the North American leg of MDNA will be no different! I can't wait for September 24th at Wizard Verizon Center in D.C.  Madonna Forever!

Madonna Song of the Day-On This Night of a Thousand Stars/Beware of the City-Lyric quote from
Lady Ciccone/Peron/Simpson via Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice-"On this night of a thousand stars/Let me take you to heaven's door/Where the Music of Love's guitars plays Forevermore!...My family were kept out of sight...Screw the middle classes/I will never accept them!"-With typical Madonna defiance, Lady Ciccone grabs her guitar and makes her case for rock & roll.  Today Michigan, tomorrow the rest of America-and the world.  Madonna Louise Ciccone does not look back.  She is a brilliant Lady Evita, that Madge!

Madonna Sunday-Rabbit Leopold

This blog today is dedicated to the women who rock!-To Bessie, Patsy, Janis, Melissa, the Wilson sisters
-Ann and Nancy-of Heart, the Heartbreak Twins from Sweden-Frida and Agneatha-of Abba, Alison, Bettye and Madonna-Brilliant Ladies All! In the writing of a Madonna tune-What It Feels Like for a Girl.

Madonna Song of the Day-Live to Tell from Something to Remember
-Lyric quote from Lady Ciccone/Peron/Simpson-"A man can tell a thousand lies/I've learned my lesson well!/Hope I Live to Tell/The secret I have learned/Till then, it will burn inside of me!...If I ran away/I'd never have the strength to go very far/And how would they hear/The beating of my heart?/Will it grow cold?/The secret that I hide!/Will I grow old?/How would they hear?/When will they learn?/And how will (would) they know?...The truth is never far behind/You kept it hidden well!/If I Live to Tell/The secret I knew then/Will I ever have the chance again?"-Well, to answer Madonna's sad yet hopeful question, in Live to Tell, she definitely and defiantly will have another chance to tell her Ciccone story because Madonna is a survivor and a rebel.  Her higher calling and religion is love-Madonna loves her life.  Despite her sadness in Live to Tell, there is hope for Madonna in her life.  Live to Tell is my favorite Madonna tune-her best song ever! Happy birthday Lady Madge!

Madonna Friday-Rabbit Leopold

I know it's a bit later than expected but to my finest inspiration-Happy birthday Madonna! You are a happy girl in your happy world because you rock hard with will and determination-and grace too! You are a friend of mine because you're a Ray of Light and Masterpiece who Lives to Tell and Takes a Bow in Love and Life.  Thank You for your Brilliant Music!-Rabbitbunny Leopold.

Madonna Song of the Day-Survival from Bedtime Stories-Lyric quote from Lady Ciccone/Peron/Simpson
-"I'll Never Be an Angel/I'll Never Be a Saint, it's True/I'm Too Busy Surviving/Whether it's heaven or hell/I'm gonna be Living to Tell/So Here's My Story/No Risk No Glory/A little up and down and all around/It's all about Survival!"-Perhaps the lady's truest and most autobiographical manifesto, Madonna will always survive long after her contemporaries fade or burn out.  Even in the afterglow of stardom, Madonna will always burn and shine brightly among rockers.  That's a given.  Or to quote Paul Westerberg of seminal Eighties band the Replacements, Madonna Louise Ciccone will always be Left of the Dial-she's the mainstream rocker with an indie-DIY heart.

Madonna Song of the Day-Rain from Erotica
-Lyric quote from Lady Ciccone/Peron/Simpson-"I Feel It/It's Coming/Rain/Feel it on my finger tips/Hear it on my window pane/Your love is coming down like the Rain/Rain is what the Thunder brings/For the First Time/I Can Hear My Heart Sing...I'm gonna stand out here on Mount Arvon-the mountain top until I hear and feel the Rain"-One of my absolute Madonna Favorites, Rain is a beautiful Ciccone ballad and I dedicate this song to Megan Elfert.
