Madonna Song of the Day-What It Feels Like for a Girl from Music
-Lyric quote from Lady Ciccone/Peron/Simpson via Charlotte Gainsbourg-"Do You Know/What It Feels Like for a Girl?/What It Feels Like in this world?"-Probing question for beautiful rebel daughter Lola, who is now so much like her mother Madge it's almost scary but both Lola and Madonna will get through it all! Inspired by French movie The Cement Garden.

Tonight this blog is dedicated to Mother Rabbit Andrea Rauh.  With Love, Rabbit Leopold-Hop!

Madonna Tuesday-Rabbit Leopold

Had a great Memorial Weekend, Hopping to Baltimore Harbor, watching a parade and honoring the troops-never forgetting the real meaning of Memorial.  I wear the cross with honor-Freedom ain't free: An American Rabbit Soldier-Bunny Leopold.  The Four Classic Rock Songs That I Heard today were
Somebody to Love by Queen and Hitch a Ride by Boston-both 1976, Against the Wind
by Bob Seger-1980 and Born to Run by Bruce Springsteen-1975.  Thanks always to Calvin, Rosie, Megan, both Rachels, Ashley, Allie, Lia and Faith.  Excellent Rabbits All!-Hop!

Madonna Song of the Day-Frozen from Ray of Light-Lyric quote from Lady Ciccone/Peron/Simpson
-"You're Frozen When Your Heart's Not Open...If I Could Melt Your Heart..."-One of the lady's most poignant vocal turns, the ethereal Rock ballad Frozen is positively heartbreaking.  Co-written by Patrick Leonard and Billy Orbit, Madonna turned in a brilliant ballad performance.  Inspired by Michael Onaatje's romance novels that later became Oscar movies The Sheltering Sky and The English Patient, Madonna later refected and cried with sadness-"To be loved like that or to love someone that way!"-She'll never forget Sean Penn or Guy Ritchie anytime soon because both Sean and Guy changed her life and made her the woman she is today.  Frozen-Truly-and Daring-One of Madonna's best songs.

This blog tonight goes out to my friend, brother and theologian from Nashville-Bill Friskics-Warren.

Madonna Thursday-Rabbit Leopold

Madonna Song of the Day-High Flying Adored from Evita-Lyric quote from Lady Ciccone/Peron/Simpson via Antonio Banderas, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice-"High Flying Adored/That's Good to Hear but Unimportant/My Story's Quite Usual/Local Girl Makes Good with Famous Men!/I Was Stuck at the Right Place at the Perfect Time!/I Was Young/I Was Lucky/But One Thing I'll Say for Me/No One Else Can Fill It Like I Can!"-And that, friends-sums up Madonna's message, viewpoint, philosophy and way of life.  She is a Material Girl and an aristocrat but she is also a Rocker, a Rebel and a Ray of Light in our world.  Madonna will never have it any other way! Madonna is the Queen of Reinvention and she takes that an gives it very seriously in her art, life and work.  Madonna truly is "the lady of them all!" After Evita and motherhood-Next Stops: Ray of Light to MDNA and the rest is the Rock History of Our Future and I'm so glad and happ to be a part of it and to be living in the Madonna Age.  Long May She Run!

Madonna Wednesday-Rabbit Leopold

Madonna Song of the Day-I'd Be Surprisingly Good for You from Evita-Lyric quote from
Lady Ciccone/Peron/Simpson via Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice-"I'm Not Talking of a Hurried
Life (Night)/A Frantic Tumble and a Shy Goodbye/Creeping Home Before It Gets Too Light/That's Not the Reason That I Caught Your Eye!/Which Has to Imply/I'd Be Good for You/I'd Be Surprisingly
Good for You!"-One of Madonna's most tender and prettiest ballads, this tender and disarming Ciccone performance shows Maddy's beautiful Evita/W.E. voice at its most tender, fragile and vulnerable.  Madge is so happy that she cries! Come to think of it, I'd Be Surprisingly Good for Her Too!

Tonight this blog is in loving memory of Robert Moog-a man who did a lot for keyboards in rock.  May He Rock in Peace!

-definitely one of my favorite Madonna album cuts! Madge is Hot!
