Happy Easter! All Rabbits Rise Up! For Maman Lapine, Allie and Calvin.  The Four Classic Rock Songs That
I Heard today were Fame by David Bowie, Hollywood Nights by Bob Seger, Good Times Bad Times
by Led Zeppelin and I'll Wait by Van Halen.  As we reflect the suffering and torture Jesus went through in stylistic audacity that led to his tragic murder these many years ago-in the music and lyrics by Jon Anderson, Chris Squire and Trevor Rabin in one of the best songs ever by Yes-"Hold On to What Is Yours!"-The duty to do so is up to us.  Once again, Happy Easter to All Rabbits.  Hop!

Madonna Song of the Day-Goodnight and Thank You from Evita
-Lyric quote from Lady Ciccone/Peron/Simpson via Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice
-"Oh but it's sad when a love affair dies!"-A Beautifully Sad Ciccone Lament about trying to make it on top.  See also Candy Perfume Girl, Skin, Beautiful Stranger, Hollywood, Nobody Knows Me, She's Not Me,
Girl Gone Wild, Some Girls, I Don't Give A, I'm a Sinner, Love Spent, Falling Free and I [Freaked] Up

Madonna Friday-Rabbit Leopold

Happy Good Friday!-one of my favorite days of 12! The Four Classic Rock Songs I Heard today were
Can't You See? by the Marshall Tucker Band, Saturday Night Special by Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rag Doll
by Aerosmith and Take It Easy by the Eagles.  Being good is the best thing in the world-To Allie, Angie, Lia, Calvin, both Rachels, Megan, Rosie, Cindy and Maman Lapine, I Love You All!

Madonna Song of the Day-Take a Bow from Bedtime Stories
-Lyric quote from Lady Ciccone/Peron/Simpson
-"Take a Bow/The Night is Over...All the world is a stage/Everyone has their part/How was I to know which way my story would go?/And how was I to know you'd break my heart?/I've always been in love with you/I guess you've always known it's true/You took my love for granted/Why, oh why?/This show is over, say goodbye."-Funnily enough, this beautiful Ciccone heartbreaker/Evita prelude #4/#1 hit chart-topper is one of Madonna's best songs ever.  Madonna sing and cries Take a Bow with a beautiful sadness.  Contrary to what her lyrics described, the world will never say goodbye to Madonna.  She is Brilliant and Immortal!

Madonna Thursday-Rabbit Leopold

Ah, the mid-Seventies! Was this really Classic Rock!? I Beg to Differ! An absolutely dreadful, boring and horrible time in rock & roll.  1973, 1974 and 1975.  Still there were some gems during this period among them.  The Four Classic Rock Songs I Heard today were Tush by ZZ Top, The Joker by Steve Miller,
Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Bitch Is Back by Elton John.  All pleasant enough
boogie rock but nothing too dangerous, memorable or exciting! No wonder punk rock had to happen.  It couldn't come soon or fast enough-To that period, I say good riddance!

Madonna Song of the Day-Secret Garden from Erotica-Lyric quote from Lady Ciccone/Peron/Simpson
-"That's why I'm still looking/For a petal that isn't torn/A heart that will not harden/A place that I can be born/It's in my Secret Garden..."-Think of First Freakout/Erotica as Madonna's Through the Wilderness period where she was desperately searching for herself in the terrible scandal of the Sex book.  Desperately trying to be a mother with Lola, Rocco, David and Mercy-And Inside, All Still Wet with Sad Tears Streaming Down Her Face, Madonna Dared to Face Her Moment of Truth by Sheer Force of Will Determination and Grace Too.

Madonna Song of the Day-La Isla Bonita from The Immaculate Collection-Lyric quote from Lady Ciccone/Peron/Simpson
-"Tropical the island breeze/All of Nature wild and free/This is where I long to be/La isla bonita."-All at once, La Isla Bonita is her Spanish Lullaby and her Evit Prelude #1.  Result-Madonna's first chapter of The Reason for My Life.  Madonna=Brilliance!

Madonna Sunday-Rabbit Leopold

The Four Classic Rock Songs I Heard today are by giants of Hard Rock
-they were Sister Christian (acoustic version) by Night Ranger, Hysteria by Def Leppard, Going to California
by Led Zeppelin and TNT by AC/DC.  I am still alive and grateful for it! This is something I will remember!

Madonna Song of the Day-Now I'm Following You (Parts 1 and 2)-from I'm Breathless (Dick Tracy)
-Lyric quote from Lady Ciccone/Peron/Simpson via Stephen Sondheim and Warren Beatty
-"Romance is in the picture too/Now I'm Following You!"-One of Madonna's oddities and curios, this song is exactly why Madonna is special to all of us.  For all her sadness and heartbreak, Lady Madge is fun, outgoing and engaging.  That's one of her better qualities.
